I know I said I'd be gone for a little while but this is really worrying me and don't know who to ask for advice..... Clicquot hasn't left the house for 3 days and does nothing but sleep day and night and its not like her..... see below, I'll log back on in a couple of hours to see if anyone can help!

the door is open, but she isn't interested........ she wasn't eating properly, so i went and bought her fav thai chicken fillets and she has wolfed those down but I can't persuade her off the bed!! Her fur is matting at an exceptional rate even tho I am brushing her daily, she lets me stroke her but hardly moves when I stop which trust me goes against everything she stands for... normally she is headbutting my hand for more attention............ She hasn't had a bowel movement for 2 days although she is peeing, she did catch a mouse last time she was out, so could it just be an upset tummy? Any thing else I should be looking for? I couldn't cope with losing her too!!

Hi Diana I always think if you arn't too sure & their behavior seems out of the ordinary its best getting em checked at the vet, Many the time I.ve been to the vet with unspecific feelings that things are a bit odd and my vet has been only to happy to double check Our last visit revealed for one of our cats that we were right and there was a problem,so I would take clicquot just to set your mind at rest.

Hi Pink, is she cleaning herself? One of our brood was displaying similar symptoms a year or so ago (apart from catching a mouse), he also didn't bother cleaning himself, so we took him to the vets. It turned out, in Midge's case, that he'd caught a virus. The vet gave us some medication to give him (can't remember if it was antibio's or not), and within a couple of days he started to perk up again. If she hasn't had a bowel movement for several days, the vet needs to see her ASAP. Good luck. x

Hi Our cat (aged 12) started to lose his appetite and subsequently lost weight. Fur went all scruffy and matted. He looked like an abandoned cat rather than a well loved pet. Blood test showed he has Hyperthyroidism (common in older cats). On meds for life but looks like a new cat now. Sue xx
