We'll eat this evening. I've got a little chicken to roast with lots of roasted vegetables like potatoes, butternut squash, carrots, swede and onions plus some homegrown runner beans. I'll push some herby butter under the chicken skin to make it extra nice. I might add some homemade stuffing and we can have it with some of the elderberry jelly I made a few weeks ago. Then a friend has given me three big pears from her garden so I might do pears in a caramel sauce. I like them poached in port but I think we've finished the bottle! But caramel is nice and we can have them with icecream or cream. Um........think I'm looking forward to dinner. Sue
