I WAS LISTENING TO THE RADIO THE OTHER DAY AND THAY WHERE TALKINGABOUT THE MEANINGS OF SURNAMES AND IF YOU REALLY GOT THAT FROM THE TRADE THAT YOU WHERE DOING WHEN THAY ALL CAME ABOUT . WHAT DO YOU THINK???? |

I would imagine a lot of names did come from work, i.e. Smith, Baker etc Some also derive from the place you lived or some from your father's surname, there are ways it is altered slightly to show you were the son of so and so. I am sure if you google there are plenty of sites that would explain better than I am doing lol Liz |
