Anybody going to watch this or have you seen enough reality TV. Think it may be taking it a bit over the top here. I do have an interest as Gaby Logan is one of the presenters and one of her twins has the name McKerrow as a middle name so maybe connected to my McKerrow tree.

well its doubtful that they will get a natural birth live as the programme is only on for a few hours. My first labour was 19 and a half hours with an epidural so i wouldnt have been on it lol

I wouldn't have made it on TV either mine were 361/2, 19 and 12 hours, viewers would have got bored with me. Sue

I will try and watch it, After having 5 sections and beimg very upset by first 2 i set up a support group. I couldnt bear to watch normal births as i felt a failure, Now I have come to terms with it Iove to watch births! Caz xxxxx

der!! which program/ channel will it be on? please, as long as it doesnt conflict with the grand prix?

either channel 4 or 5 about 8 pm My experience most babies are born at an unearthly hour anyway lol

had enough with my own thanx.........no seriously,i'm gonna watch,it's on from 8 till 10 though.they gonna tell her to get a move on at 5 to 10...pmslx

Evening, It doesn't surprise me. Nothing is sacred from reality tv these days. Why people want to participate in these types of programmes amazes me. Maybe they just want their fifteen minutes of fame. They would have got a shock if they had been filming my second daughter's birth. It wouldn't have lasted longer than an advert let alone a full hour/half hour programme.She popped out in 4 and a half minutes. Thank goodness. Had my first daughter within two hours. That was long enough for me. It was quite interesting though as the monitor which recorded both our heartbeats kept stopping. The nurse just came in, gave it a whack and it started again! Then I had to have stiches as my daughter came out giving the V sign. The doctor was quite a wit and asked if I wanted neat little french stitches. I told him one big stitch would be fine. I did catch a glimpse of the first hour and was quit amazed at the operation that they did to save the identical twins. My eledest daughter who will be 23 in December was born breach. My waters broke and went into hospital the first nurse I saw knew straight away it was breach and asked if I had been told but obviously I hadnt. She called a doctor and he said its head first. THis was just after midnight. They spent all day deciding/arguing which was round the baby was as they could all feel a head in different places. I was beginning to think I had a baby with 2 heads. At last somebody who thought they knew what they were talking about attached the monitor to behind her ear and when baby was getting stressed they knew they had to get her out. To late for a caesarean. When she finally came out the monitor was attached to her bum............ Glad the equipment they have these days can tell more than they did 23 years ago

watched the first half but didnt want to miss Jane Eyre, yes incredible what they can do these days..... Bob

I must say I really enjoyed the programme But im sure a live natural birth has been filmed on tv before possibly on city hospital, but then it may have been a live c section Elaine x

I didn't fancy this when I saw it advertised, but I have to say it was quite good. Lovely seeing those twins orn. And I especially liked the doctors that explained how they try to make the cesarian as natural as possible, which I thnk is a wonderful idea. catherine xx
