I have two grandsons who play cricket, rugby and football. they are aged 13 and14.My daughter and her husband are at their wits end trying to get footwear for them as they take 14 and 15 mens size. They have to have special dispensation at school to wear trainers as shoes are out of the question. They just want to be able to find a supplier who does not charge the earth and makes the kind of footwear the other kids wear at this age. oh goodness me! I thought we had it bad getting size 12 for my 16yr old bro in the summer - all the shops told us that at that size they only stock justs 1 pair of the size per style that goes that far. Pavers do some larger sizes at reaonable prices their online shop is:- http://www.shoe-shop.*com This one http://www.shoe-shop.*com/invt/rfl00109&bklist=icat,3,,m10343 goes up to a 15 and is like a school shoe. Skechers go up to a US 16 but need to be imported (US14 = UK 13.5) http://www.skechers.*com/ The show tailor goes up to a 14 http://shoetailorcom.drct2u.*com/home.jsp Walk tall do sizes 12 - 19, some pairs are £25 http://www.walktall.*co.uk/ Remove all stars Good luck keeping the boys shod, and I hope their feet stop growing very soon |

Thanks Lunar, we have visited most of the web sites without luck. Cannot get rugby boots anywhere and you would think with the size of some of the players these would be easier to get. It is mainly the sports footwear, they do manage to get trainers. Elaine. |

HI Elaine, I have the same problem with my daughter (6'1' tall and size 10 feet). I can only get her shoes online. We have tried many of the Big Size Companies and they all seem to offer an excellent service. My daughter has always found exactly what she wanted. Tina x |

Thanks Nyneve, they are at their wits end . The boys play for Rotherham schoolboys, Wombwell main football and cricket. They are good at all sports and the older one wants to teach sports( he is also a fab mathamatician). It seems such a shame that they have such big feet. Elaine. |

Wow Tina,I am 5ft 8 and take a size 8 and I find I have to buy clumpy shoes. Don't get me wrong I do not want strappy shoes with heels, well not at my time of life but I despair every time I go into a shoe shop and see a pair of shoes I like to be told they only have them up to size 7. Elaine. |

I am a size 8 and know a few ladies with larger feet, and at last most of the shops I use have the size I need. A few years ago, there would be hardly any 8's but I did find some nice shoes in Matalan in September, they had lots of 8's, and Bhs too where I got some in the summer. At the end of last winter, I got some great boots from Shoe Express and Stead and Simpson (part of the same group I think) in size 9 which I needed cos of the shape of the boots. I am well stocked up now. |
