Hi Yvette, Good to see ya, hope your grandmother is on the mend very soon. If it's any comfort, my aunt (91 next month) had a fall a month or two ago, and damaged her shoulder but she amazed us at how quickly she seemed to recover from that given her age. Andy x

Hi Jacky I hope it was only in a nice way, lol, i did wonder why my ears were burning ;-) To all of you, thanks for the good wishes, my Nan has been a bit more comfortable today, but has a long way to go yet. She is a wonderful lady, more my Mum than my Nan, and knows all about Gc, so much so she often asks me what the latest news is on certain topics and people. I will pass on all your good wishes to her, i am sure it will cheer her up. Yvette

Yvette, To be perfectly honest I hadn't missed you till you mentioned it BUT You are talking to a woman who has an alarm set every day so that she doesn't miss picking up any of her children from various places! It is lovely to see you back, remember after giving all that care you need to give yourself some too! Abigail

Sadly my Nan is far from well, but at nearly 81 (later this month) she has a battle on her hands as things don't heal so quickly. She knocked her leg on her coffee table, it blew up like you wouldn't believe and her leg burst open in several places due to a massive blood clot that formed....all in the space of 4 hours!! She has had to have 2 operations to remove the clot, and to have two skin grafts, but as she has a really bad heart and asthma it is causing a few extra worries, on top of that she has developed a 'bug' in her blood, so she had to have a transfusion last night........needless to say her coffee table has left the building and gone to a new home!! Yvette
