Thank you all. I have just found out that my grandmother, on my dad's side, and her family were from Birkenhead and that they went to St.Ann's Cathedral in Rock Ferry. Tricia

Tricia Rock Ferry is just south of Birkenhead. Birkenhead is on the left/west side of the Mersey opposite Liverpool on the right/east side. You can see for yourself on www streetmap uk co [put. in the spaces]. You can look for streets or places and zoom in or out of the maps. nell

Yes, Rock Ferry is Birkenhead. Birkenhead is on the other side of the River Mersey from Liverpool.
