Thank you all. I have just found out that my grandmother, on my dad's side, and her family were from Birkenhead and that they went to St.Ann's Cathedral in Rock Ferry. Tricia |

Tricia Rock Ferry is just south of Birkenhead. Birkenhead is on the left/west side of the Mersey opposite Liverpool on the right/east side. You can see for yourself on www streetmap uk co [put. in the spaces]. You can look for streets or places and zoom in or out of the maps. nell |

Yes, Rock Ferry is Birkenhead. Birkenhead is on the other side of the River Mersey from Liverpool. |
