Thanks Janice and Margaret To be honest the kitchen is useable, it's just the silly finishing off jobs like I'm missing a handle on a door and the strips haven't been put on the ends of the worktops. I might go for the door handle. The sight of me with a drill in my hand should be enough to stir him into action! lol

Jeanette, What needs to be done in the kitchen? Why don't you start one of the jobs - preferably the one you know least about, then he might realise he needs to take over and get the jobs finished. (Just use some child psychology on him LOL) Janice

Wonder if that'll work on my hubby Margaret! lol I'll put a big sign outside my door saying ' you are more than welcome to join me for a coffee, but please excuse the kitchen as it is not finished yet after 3 years. You will also be sat in a draft as the draft excluder has not been rplaced since it fell off 6 months ago. And please mind you don't trip over the Christmas decorations that are still lying around cos that lazy b****r can't be bothered to put them back in the loft!' Jeanette x

Getting things done! I just thought I would share this tip with you all. On Monday this week I organized for some bulky rubbish to be taken away, i.e. Son’s old bed, piece of carpet, some large pieces of wood and other bits & bobs of junk. I used a local firm that I had used once before and not had any problem with. This time however, because his lorry was full he left behind a few items outside the front of my house and said he would call back to pick them up. They were still there the next morning! I rang him about it and he said he would be along in the next couple of hours; ok then, thank you I said. This morning they were STILL THERE! So I rang him again and said that if he did not pick them up a.s.a.p. I would be putting a SIGN OUT to EXPLAIN why the rubbish was still outside! He called within the hour to collect the rubbish!! So if you have a problem with getting something done, just threaten to explain to the world (or just your street) why it has not yet been done!! :-)) Margaret
