Timothy, There are no obvious George Rushby's in the London/Surrey area in 1871. They only thing you can do is to order the marriage cert to get his age and father. Crista |

Timothy Rushby does not sound like a southern surname. If George is on the move, his father may have moved as well. Does the marriage certificate not show the fathers' names? You can search the 1871 Ancestry census index for free if you enter via the National Archives website. This may well highlight your ancestor. Good luck |

Chloe, That's the one I found. She's not with any other Marlow's though. If you conduct your surname search and narrow it down by district, you can mouse over where it says 'View' you can figure out the family groupings from the line number and the number after UIR, sort of like the Census Decoder and not use credits. There is an Elizabeth Marlow aged 16 born Cobham on the 1837 index. She's living in Richmond district. But there are 16 Marlow's living there, so the only way to know which one is her family is to buy credits and see the image. Or have I gotten the wrong one of the 1861?? |

Hi Timothy, The 1861 census is on 1837online. Not sure if the 1851 census for Surrey is available yet. In 1861 she doesn't appear to be with any other Marlows members. She's in Barnes Green, Mortlake. I can tell this without using credits. Crista |
