My son has one with various rugby players' autographs in it. One of them is ex-England captain Martin Johnson's. Johnno has a reputation as being a big of a 'thug' in some quarters and he is certainly big and rather scary-looking. My son went to get his autograph on a dark wet evening long after most people had gone home. Johnno had just lost a match and was limping a bit. When my son came back with the signature he was very impressed as Johnno had said 'thank you for asking'! nell

How did this word originate? Do you remember your autograph book which you had at school? And do you remember some autographs. I wonder whether autographs change through the years. I remember my mother writing in mine: Sylvia is your name single is your station happy be the man who makes the alteration
