Thanks everyone for the input - we went to Lightwater Valley last year, my partner is from Yorkshire and remembered it from when he was younger - my daughter loved it there. We just thought we might try somewhere different. I suppose in the end it depends on the weather - if its peeing it down with rain we may have to choose an indoor attraction! lol

Thank you Jane - thats actually a big help! We don't mind driving some distance for a good day out, but if its likely to be disappointing I would rather go somewhere else - there are enough tatty places to visit closer to home! lol

I dont know where you live, but Gullivers World/Land is another one, but again a little old and dated, but the kids seem to enjoy it. liz

Hi, we went a couple of years ago and the children really enjoyed it. I would recommend it. I saw on the TV a couple of weeks ago that a couple of new rides have also been added. Liz As Jane has mentioned above, its not a patch on the likes of Disney etc, dont think the british no how to keep up with things like disney do!!

We were there a couple of years ago. I'm afraid I thought it was rather tatty and not worth the money to get in. Looked lovely in the leaflet so we were quite disapointed. Sorry not to be able to be more encouraging Jane

We want to go for a day out somewhere while it's still school holidays and don't know where to go. Daughter wants to go to a theme park (but not Alton Towers 'cos she doesn't like big rides lol) and Flamingoland Park & Zoo has been suggested - does anybody know what its like?
