Well today is Kians first day at nursery. We dropped him of at 7.30am and he took to Kim(the Nursery leader) instantly, he was happy sat on the floor with her playing and don`t think he noticed us at all!!! He seemed ok when we left which was good, and the staff are brilliant.Must admit,I did cry when we got in the car. Feel like my 'job' is over and it`s someone else`s turn!! I know that`s not true, I`m still his mum and will do things with him but it`s what it feels like. Chris has gone back to work today too so I`m home alone and the house has never been so quiet! Have tidied up, put washing on and even sat smelling his PJs(pathetic I know) May have to pop next door to see Alison as her little boy is same age as Kian lol. Was going to pop into town but weathers not great at the moment!!! Can`t wait till 5.30pm when we pick him up!! xxxx |

If its any consolation Kerry, I feel abit lonely today too. My baby has just gone on holiday for 3 weeks, on a tour around all the Arab countries. I miss him already, I hope he is alright, he is only 33 years old! ! It stays with you forever ! You are now a MUMMY! Deanna :-0) |

Well done Kerry. the first day is the worst. My daughter started nursery at 18 months and we have not had a single day of tears from her (I cried the first couple of times) She is 4 this month and I think the first tears will come in the summer when she finishes nursery to start 'big school'. Hope your day goes well. Enjoy your week off!! Sarah x |

Hi Kerry, Did you have a good hol? I remember the first day i left my daughter at nursery- like you i felt all alone-the first thing i did after leaving her was to go home and cry. The next thing i did was to `phone and make sure she was o.k. and was told she was loving playing with the other children there- when i went to pick her up she didn`t want to come home and it was the same for some of the other mums so we got together and had a coffee now and again- we still meet now and again -that day was 9years ago. Thinking of you, Lizz xx |

I can still remember how it felt 30 years ago now. I cried for days. He will still need you a lot but in a different way now. Mine still needs me now and again and he's 35, married and a father himself. Jo. |
