I know two young men on the Kanimbla really well, and it is devastating to think how they must be feeling. They hadn't made it home from the Tsnami relief - they were in Singapore ready to return when the latest earthquake hit, so they turned back to help. Thank goodness for technology, communications is good so we are able to offer support. Prayers for the shattered families tonight. Laurie |

Governments may not appreciate what these wonderful human beings have done to help their fellow man but we do and we say thank you and may God Bless them, and their families. |

Heard it on the news, virtually as an aside - as though of no importance over here. While you can,t brood over every fatality, something more would have seen appropriate. God bless them all, but particularly their families - that terrible knock on the door again. happy days |

Did you hear nine Australians were killed when their helicoptor crashed and burned , they were from the ship the H.M.S Kanimbla that came home and then turned around and rushed back to help the victims of the latest earthquake, to their families I send my deepest sympathy and may they rest in peace, I know the ordinary citizens in the affected areas appreciate our help but the ship came home originally on the orders of the Indonesion Government they said affectfully Get Out Now and we did, but then went back I do not think their Government appreciate the sacrifice these young ones made to try and help them please someone tell me I'm wrong. Lara Monday the 4th just heard on the news the nine people who died will be awarded a medal by the Indonesion Goverment and the Prime Minister expressed his sympathy for the loss to the families of the Australians Lara |
