Each time I start Cd in my Laptop, I get the following message. 16 bit Windows Subsystem. c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitablefor running MS -Dos and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose Close to terminate the application. I have a choice of buttons. Close or Ignore. I am having no trouble running the CD's from Family Tree or Practical Family History. Can anyone help please? Jenny. |

Jenny I assume your running XP. Seems like the disks are written for older systems. They can run under XP but need correct certain files. Try this http://www.visualtour(.)com/downloads/ The second one XPfix will do it all for you. To be super safe create a restore point but XP doesn't need these files itself. I have just checked it on my PC. Bob |
