When I was in the same position many years ago, I was worried sick all day in the office. When I went to pick up my son at the end of the day, I was told he'd had a very good day and had happily joined in with all the other children, who he'd never met before. I was so relieved, especially when we got home and he said, 'I liked it there. Can I go again tomorrow?' CB >|<

First day at nursery/school is a great milestone for both mum and child' as is first day at secondary school(heart wrenching). My son goes to uni in Oct, it doesn't get any easier in fact i am preparing myself for empty nest syndrome.

Dreadful, tearful, jealous, resentful..... Well, she did bang on the nursery door and peep through the window, she was so desperate to get in and start playing! She would reach out to the girls and scream with delight as they gave her a cuddle. Never have I felt such a boring person as she makes me feel when we go to nursery but the other day I was waiting at the door with another little boy and his mummy and he was the same. So all I can conclude is that the girls are good fun and can I go to nursery instead of back to work! Mine both started at a year for one three hour session per week. Good luck and be sure to have as many things to do as possible after you drop him off, the busier you are the less time you will have to dwell on how much he is not missing you! Abigail

Your children first went to nursery/school? Kian starts nursery on Monday and I am dreading it.He is at the age now where he`s so much fun,he laughs, loves being tickled and we have so much fun. Gutted that we are going to be paying other people to get this time with him. I go back to work a week monday and will be kept busy next week with going for a medical and getting my uniform changed, so alot to do but I`m going to be lost!!!! :o(((( xxxx
