Abigail, You're certainly right there, although the birds seem to do much better than we do with the blackberries and raspberries! I tend to pick the raspberries before they're ripe and leave them to redden on the kitchen windowsill, otherwise there's nothing left to pick! CB >|<

CB, your garden sounds scrummy, all you need now is a yoghurt maker! Abigail

Yes at the moment mainly fruit and just a few veg, but hubby has just started preparing the rest of the ground and put up a large greenhouse so lots more on the way.

Yes, but only runner beans and asparagus. They're all we've got room for, as most of our growing space is taken up with fruit - trees: 4 apples, 2 pears, a damson, a greengage, a plum and a crab-apple bushes: quince, thornless blackberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant, gooseberry, raspberry CB >|<

I did at our last house. Our garden was horrid when we moved in but by the time we left I was growing, radish, carrots, spring onions, sprouts, celeriac, chives, rhubarb, thyme, mint, lavender, courgettes, blackcurrants, tayberries and blackberries along with loads of nasturtiums, rocket and sweet peas. Great fun but not organic as even with pest control I was collecting 70+ slugs and snails every evening. I was on the verge of kidnapping hedgehogs! Abigail

We have just starting digging our veggie patch! WE've made a big compost box too. We have lettuce, leek, bean, cabbage, cauliflower, carrot and onion seeds starting off in trays. (I wanted celery but apparently its more trouble than its worth to grow). I can't wait for harvest time ...... if the rabbits don't get there first Bev
