Hi CB My favourites are Mint with choc.chip and raspberry ripple. I wish we could get the Walls block of ice cream that we had in the 50s and 60s it was really creamy and made you tongue tingle, anybody remember it Anne xx

It travels to Chichester alright. It is in gallon boxes(or whatever size they are called now)and in the cold box they keep fine as we get lost and have a row and stop at the pub.Go to the factory shop village next time and have tasters. Our first time we had a five scooper, purely in the name of research you understand. You have to go to the factory to get the big boxes as I think they only supply catering outlets otherwise.

Crikey, Jean! You'd starve in my house! LoL I've never known anyone not like any of those things, except bananas, which I hated as a child, but I now eat on medical advice. (The vet says I can go and live at Monkey World if I eat enough bananas.) Sharron, I wish I'd known that! I was in Ebbw Vale last month - I'd love to have bought some of that ice cream, but I doubt it would have survived the 'scenic route' journey back home to Hertfordshire! CB >|<

We live in Sussex but sometimes go to Wales for a night away, with the cold box, especially to go to Ebbw Vale to get some Sidoli's ice-cream.They sell several flavours in the outlet village in Ebbw Vale but the only place we have found to buy it is the factory in the town.At the moment we have blackcurrant and cream flavour and hazelnut and toffee but my real favourite is Turkish Delight.About time we had a night away I think.

I like the Vanilla ones they dip in the Chocolate syrup, and then they stick a chocolate flake in the top, and pour hundreds and thousands sprinkles all over it. YUM.. Tony Oz :>))

Oh Brenda! Don't mention Dayville's! We used to visit the one in Wimbledon Village whenever we drove through there, after walking the dog on Wimbledon Common or avoiding traffic jams on the A3 en route home from London. They used to do pistachio with almonds in it, which I thought spoilt it, but the ice cream was great, so I'd pick out the almonds and crunch them separately later. What a pig! LoL CB >|<

I wasn't hungry till I started reading this thread! Pistachio and Maple walnut. Oh yummy. I try not to associate family history with food, but walking up from Embankment to Charing Cross on my way to Somerset House, there used to be a Dayville 32 flavours. I worked my way through all the nut and fudgy flavours. As Harry would say, happy days!

Hi CB, Vanilla or strawberry but it has to be Thayers ice cream. I can only get it in Wales. Maybe no bad thing I'd be the size of a house if I could get it here. Gwynne

BTW, Daisy, do you know what that pizzeria/cafe is called? It's on the corner, along the same row of shops that has M & S's back door in it. I can never remember it's name, although I've been there many times. CB >|<

Paul, Thank you. Daisy, Thank you too - that's exactly how I make it, but it doesn't usually go bright pink, just a very pale colour. I don't mind that so much, as long as the flavour's there, but you need good English strawberries for that, not the imported, watery ones. Our old garden ones were superb. Not sure about a fight with you though - I may be big, but I'm a real coward when it comes to fisticuffs! I just give in. LoL CB >|< X
