same here lisa about 15 years ago i was a bad boy but my wife took me back, i am the luckiest man alive , and yes it makes your marriage even stronger. xx

Yep! And all down to undiagnosed post-natal depression. Too tired/permanent headache.........if you get my drift! All sorted thank goodness. Old Mother Demdyke

depression played a part years ago.but he stuck by me.i was in the depths of dispair.didn't think i could pull through but my hubby stood by me which i am grateful forxxxxxxx(:

We've lived together since i was 17 and he was 19. have now been married 21 years(now aged 41 and 43) and no,we have not had a relationship challenging bad patch. We very nearly had our house repossesed in the early 90s,when repossesion was rife but that's it.

Yes in 1989 we had been married 19 years I was drinking far to heavily and it caused a 6 month break up in our marriage. I was 39 years old and went back to my Mums, In one way it helped my family because my father was desperately ill at that time and I was there to help my Mum through the last months of his life. It also caused me and my wife to rebuild our marriage because even though I had given her such a hard time before she helped me so much to get over the death of my beloved father, I will always be grateful to my wife for helping me in such a difficult episode in my life, and we got back together and we are still here 35 years married. dave io think that bad experinces like yours and others really do test a marriage but if you can get through the bad times then nothing will come between you.much love and hugsxxxx(:

We had a really bad patch last year, I nearly gave up on my marriage, sat down and went over everything and realised that I could not give up on my marriage been together for 16 years to long to throw away. I think you have to keep talking to each other the moment you stop is when things go wrong.
