London Congestion Charge Increase

Brian I drive into London everyday unfortunately. I start work at 5pm so just get caught with the charge. The firm won't help with this charge and its crippling my workmates and my pockets. Fortunately I share drive with another lady, but a lot of the evening staff don't. So I suppose you can understand our outrage at this increase. Also we don't have the option to get a train as they don't run late enough in the evening for us to be able to catch one. Luv Jo xxx

Nell - my husband's company provided some of the software for congestion charging! No, doesn't make any difference to me, as I always go by train, have noticed less traffic though in the busiest areas.

No idea whether it is justified, apart from the fact that my husband helped to test the software involved, so possibly an increase might give him a pay rise (!!) but we always come into London by train anyway, so it won't affect our journeys. nell

The Charge is going up frm £5 to £8 in July. Is this justified and will it put you off coming to London?
