Thanks Roz - yes hotmail have really sorted that problem in the last year. I start to think that these are coming through sites like Rootswebs as I always seem to get a huge amount just after posting a query or something. I did go on the mailwasher site and it said something about STPMs or something but I just couldnt follow.

Heather, some of my emails won't bounce back, and it is usually those with a YA HOO address, don't know how they do it. I have had a couple that have no apparent email address, they have 0 instead of ' at ' and they can't be bounced. It does take a little time to get going, but I have found it has made a difference. You might also consider using a HOT MAIL address for things you have to register, they have a built in spam filter or junk mail box. Ros.

I am getting upwards of 6 scam spams a day - the widow of the Nigerian diplomat type stuff on my Outlook Express. I have downloaded the free mailwasher which I had hoped would bounce all these back and so give the impression my mail box was no longer existing but I keep getting a message from mailwasher that the messages could not be bounced. I have looked at their website for FAQ but it is so techno speak I am lost. Can anyone tell me in words of two syllables or less how I can make the mails bounce please? I am using wanadoo as a server - transferred from freeserve so I have a freeserve mail addy.
