I didn't like the new Doctor Who at all I turned over after ten minutes. I didn't think that Christopher Eccleston was quirky enough and he seemed to be a bit manic when he spoke. I think the new chap that could be chosen who is playing Casanova will be better. I always liked Tom Baker and Pertwee. Louise

I've seen the newspapers regarding being typecast. Personaly i think he could 2 maybe 3 series without any damage to his career.

Is he going already Alan? I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode and I do like Christopher Eccleston as an actor anyway. I was looking forward to seeing him playing the part for a few years to come. Jeanette x

Apparantly Christopher Eckleston doesnt want to get typecast so is only doing this series.....shame really but I agree Paul McGann would be great in the role! Bev

Well i saw the first episode of Doctor Who, and i thoroughly enjoyed it, and i look forward to the next episode. I was very surprised this announcement. I'd hoped he would of stayed longer than one series. Personally i'm a bit disapointed. Perhaps Paul McGann could reprise the role.
