My son has got Tipex all over his face, a school boy prank, but I have tried soap & water, cleansing wipes even nail varnish remover and it won't budge

any ideas would be appreciated

When all else failed I used to use sugar in a little butter to clean stuff like paint off hands, but might be a little harsh on a young face :-(

Spray furniture polish and erm polish him...sorry if it sounds daft but it works. Avoid his eyes, nostils and ears, then rinse properly in cool running water...should do the trick

I don't really know but hair lacquer removes dye.... and it can be used on the face.
BUT I would try Colins idea.... sounds daft enough to work!!
Bless him, don't hurt him it will eventually work itself off anyway.

Tippex (Correction Fluid) Fabric


Skin
Scrape off as much of the white deposits as possible, as soon as possible. Clean off the remainder with a little white spirit.
As long as it is not on a highly sensitive area such as around the eyes, white spirit on some cotton wool will probably do the trick. If you do not have any white spirits try nail varnish remover, this apparently works (according to Chris).

He's asleep at moment, that's how all this happened, felt poorly earlier, feel asleep on friend's sofa and so called friend's have trashed his face, but need to get the tipex off first

luckily tippex have removed the harmful fumes from their product. If you get him to lay a warm soapy flannel on his face it should peel off. Good job its a bank holiday... Boys eh!!

Do you have any face scrub? You know with the little grains to get rid of dead skin cells? Maybe worth a try and he can be exfoliated at the same time lol.

My face is currently covered in paint from painting the ceiling - thats what I am going to use when I jump in the shower.

Sorry I don't mean to be flippant but I hear the "Adam and the Ants" look is making a comeback!!

pmsl sorry shouldnt laff but I remember being pinned down on my birthday while in school and having me nose painted with it lol

I used white spirit on mine.

IF and its a BIG IF.......the tippex is the really old stuff, the solvent for that was dry cleaning fluid, which used to be carbon tetrachoride....or 1.1.1.trichloroethane
which is now unobtainable, for most people.....
However if you ask a dry cleaner for some " Perc" and explain, they MAY be able to help.....

the modern stuff Tippex( I believe) is waterbased.....

Toothpaste is mildly abrasive and might work.
