I find that the Welsh one's vary so much, I can never tell. I can hardly understand my son he talks so fast ! :-D

$$ - Jimmy Nail had the strongest accent followed by Tim Healy then Kevin Whately. When I communicate with GinN I try to write in a Jimmy Nail accent because I find it humorous. I myself have a very mild Geordie accent but people have told me that my voice sound very much like Roger Moore and I don't know whether to take that as a complement. ;-) ;-)

Lol ...a Geordie that sounds like Roger Moore, you'll be saying that you take your cocktails taken not stirred !
;-) Did you go to private school or have elocution lessons ,cos it is 'difficult' to loose your area accent ...it may vary tho.
My sis and BIL have been in SA and US since early 1980's and they still sound Welsh. ( but a bit posh ;-) )

$$ - In my local cocktail bar oops!!! I mean Workingmen's Club, it's a pint of good old English beer I'm afraid - not shaken or stirred. ;-) ;-)
I didn't attend a private school or have elocution lessons. I still have an accent but not very strong and it probably evolved from the job I had where I had to attend many meetings and seminars talking to people from all over the world.
I can still break out in a strong Geordie accent if need be - Yi knaa wot a meen bonnie lass. :-D :-D :-D

A few yrs ago, well many really , whilst on hols with hubby , I approached a gang of Geordies, they were singing (well too) and I thought they were Welsh.
It was in Corfu, I'd probably had a few , they'd probably had a few more as they were on the tables! I nearly got dragged up onto the table when they realised I was Welsh, Wales being the Land of Song etc ,tho I can sing I certainly wasn't going to get up on the table and do so !
It's a myth , hubby or son cannot sing in tune at all !
My job involved travelling in the UK and conducting meetings ,so I do have an 'office voice' too.
