I'm ex mil and can only suggest you try googling Kings Regulations 1940 and see if you can find the relevant para. If you've a military museum near you why not contact the Curator

HI
I have recently received my grandads war records and they say that he was discharged in 1944 under the 'Kings Regulations para 390 (XVI) So why was he discharged?
He joined up and was A1 fit for service but i cant seem to find out why he became unfit and was discharged. He died 10 years later aged 32 years from: congestive cardiac failure, mitral stenosis & rheumatic endocarditis. A bit odd for a man who had been A! fit for duty. Can anyone throw any light on this?
Thanks for any help, suggestions and your time to read this
