Dear all experienced searchers,
My 10 year old daughter is doing a project on Isambard Kingdom Brunel. We have found him on the 1841 census as J K Brunel aged 35 - civil engineer.
He married on the 5th July 1836 to Mary Elizabeth Horsley - established a home in Duke street, westminster, london. They had children - Isambard junior, Henry Marc and Florence Mary.
He died on the 15th sept 1859.
She would like to find a census with the wife and family and we've had no luck .
please please could someone confirm if we have or haven't missed something.
We'd be very grateful.
Katie & G.

Grace is off to bed now - and i'm going to be printing and sorting all this information for her so she can write it up tomorrow. (after the firework display ofcourse!)
Thankyou.

To all who helped my daughter with her school project.
Grace received a MERIT for her project, she was so thrilled with her mark.
This was always going to be a challenge for her as her passion is literature. She will write for hours about various authors and had no interest in Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
She had a slow start but once you all started helping her she was able to put together a brilliant project and learn about Brunel.
Grace would like to thank you all and we would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year.
Grace & Katie.
