If you register with ScotlandsPeople, and buy credits (minimum 30 for £7.50), you can see the image of the original document (6 credits to view and/or print).
That will tell you James's parents' names, and you can then trace the family back to see if there's any Lewis connection.

However - Beaton is a very common name, so the likelihood of any link is probably remote.

There is virtually no chance of anyone related seeing your message, unfortunately - unless someone does an internet search for the names in future and finds this thread. You do have a tree here - I see Solomon when I search trees - so that is good. You are the only one though. Periodically search trees for your various names to see whether anyone has added any of them, and send messages if you find matches.

Hello everyone!

I am looking for any descendants of Solomon McColl and Jessie Beaton. Solomon was born in 1885 in Lamlash, Buteshire to John McColl and Catherine Campbell McColl. Jessie was born in 1896 in Vatisker, Isle of Lewis to Norman Beaton and Ann Macrae Beaton. Solomon and Jessie were married on February 20, 1920 in Glasgow. Solomon is believed to have died in 1962 and Jessie in 1968.

On her mother's death certificate in 1932, it lists Jessie's residence as 10 Baker Street, Shawlands, Glasgow.

Does anyone have any info? All help greatly appreciated.
