Hi looking for 2 girls that were the children of Jean or Jeanie Martin or Murray. She was married to James Murray but may not have put his name on the birth certificate. She was in the Glasgow and surrounding areas and was born in 1932. She left the girls or they were taken into care and she then went on to have a son in 1970 my partner, with another man but for some reason he was put up immediately for adoption. Thank you in advance.

For info....................

MURRAY
JAMES
MARTIN
JEANIE
1952
644/12 10
Maryhill

Online Scottish BMDs do not show MMN on births, so, unless you have any idea of forenames, you will have great difficulty in tracing them

............ especially with such common names as Martin and Murray.

Assuming the girls were born between 1952 and 1970, and were registered in the Maryhill RD (which of course isn't necessarily the case) -

there were 9 girls born with surname Martin, and 8 with surname Murray.

But no way to know who their mothers were without buying copies of the birth certs at £12 each.
(Parents' names are shown in full on the actual birth cert, but don't show on the basic search result on SP, as ErikaH has said.)

However, even if you were willing to spend so much, they can't be ordered at present because of the Covid-19 situation.

You need to check with the Scottish adoption rules to see if your partner can register his interest in connecting with the sisters.
