By searching on FreeBMD (see link given above) for any births of children born with the surname Balshaw, and the mother's maiden surname as in the 1971 marriage - as described above.

Then by searching for that child's name on the Electoral Rolls.

Cliff Raymond on Manchester ER not sure what this is ... any help

ArgyllGran Report 9 Jun 2021 21:36

There's a Cliff Raymond Balshaw on the Manchester ER to 2018 per ERs on GR.

A probable son of the second marriage was born in 1971 - search on FreeBMD, using both parents' surnames.
https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

The son was living in Derbyshire in 2018.

Once you've found his name from his birth record on FreeBMD, look for his name in Electoral Rolls, under "Search" at top right of this page, and then click the "document" symbol on the right to see the address.
The property has not been sold since 2018, so he may well still be living there.

That’s probably it. I didn’t register the ‘F’.

He was either divorced or widowed quite soon after the marriage as there is only a 3-4 year gap.

There are marriages for Clifton R Balshaw in Manchester in 1967 & 1871.

Freebmd for the 1967 one is confusing as you can’t marry two different women at the same time.

Welcome to Genes and the boards. There are no magic wands and a little bit more information is needed.

Where do you think Clifton was born? Do you have any information about his parents?
