I think we may have a distant connection.

I think the parents of Frances Amy Kill were Frank Kill and Amy Mary Smith who were married in 1898 in Fareham.

Frank Kill, born 1868 in Upton Lovell, Wiltshire was the brother of my grandad, William Richard Kill born 1881 in Stockton, Wiltshire. Their parents were Arthur Kill and Sarah Ann Ransom.

My maiden name was Kill.

EDIT - sorry, I have got this wrong. The Frank Kill who married Amy Mary Smith was a different Frank. His father was also called Frank Kill, a sergeant in the Royal Artillery.

Welcome to the boards, Paul.

In case you're new to family tree research -

Shirley mentioned FreeBMD.
Very useful site for births/death/marriages in England and Wales, from 1837 up to roughly 1993-ish:
https://www.freebmd.org.uk/search

ErikaH mentioned GR trees.
You can search for any family names that you know, or discover, in "Search all member trees", under "Search" at top right of this page.
If any other GR member has that person in their tree on GR, you can then contact the tree owner by clicking on "Find out more" beside the tree owner's name, and sending a message explaining your interest.
Don't just ask to see their tree. That 's likely to be ignored , as they won't know why you want to see it.
You can only see someone's tree if they give you permission.

Nameslessone mentioned the 1939 Register.
However, I don't see any of the family on that .

He’s in three GR trees apart from yours……..try contacting the tree ‘owners’

Are you looking for nephews, nieces. He is likely to be an open record on the 1939 list. This would give his parents and potentially his siblings. You can then work from there.
