Surname Forename Year Gender Age at Census Ref RD Name County/ City ROY JOHN 1911 M 7 168/1 60/ 6 St Nicholas Aberdeen You can manipulate the SP site to find others at the same place, but there are no other Roy's on this Ref. No in Aberdeen You would need to buy credits and look at the actual record, aiming to see if there were siblings and then try to follow their lines. You can also ask the site to look for deaths surname ROY mmn Cheyne

CHEYNE CECILIA F 1905 168/1 989 St Nicholas (an Aberdeen RD) although there is a middle initial which is not not showing on the possible marriage or death records

Try looking under "Search" top right of this page

You can't search Statutory births using Mother's maiden name as a help in Scotland. However, the death record shows his Mothers maiden name. St Machar is a Registration District in Aberdeen Surname Forename Spouse Surname Spouse Forename Year Ref RD Name Image View ROY JOHN CHEYNE CECILIA 1925 168/2 339 St Machar The certificate should name their parents and say when / where they married

What were his parents name, do you know names of aunts, uncles, grandparents Use the website below to look for information. It's free to do a Search and get a result like I've posted for his death. You would need to buy the certificate to check the details.
