	Do some research….look for a marriage, and then for possible children. Check whether the last address you have for him has been sold since you last had contact………

	Not born in England/Wales under that name No recorded marriage for the parents on freebmd The mother died in 1996 The parents and a male child aged 9 months travelled to Brazil in March 1939 - presumably Alan was born out there
