Anthony Report 3 Aug 2017 10:24

This came up on my facebook page through someone else.

He was stationed in the RAF base of Laarbruch in Germany in 1965. His first name is Steve, and his last name is "Brett", "Brat", "Bareth", "Barrett" or something similar (it turns out there are different ways of remembering a last name).
Why do I ask this? Because this man is my father. He and my mother had a relationship in 1965 but he had to go back to the UK before I was born. I never got to know him, but was never bothered by that so I never felt the need to go look for him before. Things are what hey are, and those were very diferent times after all. But now that my children are growing older, they do want to know more about their background, and that made me decide it was time to see what we can find out about him.
So I want to put the power of social media to the test and see if anyone out there can help me with that. He would have been in his early twenties in this picture, which is taken in 1965. Anyone who knows anything about him, feel free to message me here on facebook. Sharing this, especially by and with people in the UK, is of course greatly apreciated!
Thanks!
John.
