Jethro Bithell WW1

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

PatinCyprus Report 17 Oct 2017 13:44

Over 70% of WW1 documents about UK soldiers were destroyed in WW2 bombing.

I have documents for paternal grandfather in WW1 and only a medal card for maternal one. :-(

Yours may be one that was destroyed.

Thank you greyghost, KathleenBell and Chris Ho it seems strange that apart from enlistment year and Regiment I can't find any service records for him.
I have his academic record, his birth, baptism and 2 marriages.
Oh well have to continue searching

Many thanks

Chris Ho :)
