My friend has WW1 medals which she believes are her grandfather's. The edge of the medal says "Charles A Hollocks, Royal Fusiliers, no. 16264". I can find no trace of a "Hollocks/16264" combination and this is more confused by my friend not knowing her Grandfather's middle name! Have tried Forces War Records, but no luck.
