Had already done so, as you will see, but left the info to show anyone else trying to help that it's the wrong person.

What about the Coventry death found and posted by AG?.

KathleenBell Report 4 May 2020 14:38

Although his service records are on Findmypast, if you send off for them from the MOD if he re-enlisted at a later date you should get ALL of his service history from them. However if he didn't re-enlist then you would just be wasting £30 as Findmypast gives all of his early service up to 1912.

ArgyllGran!

many thanks for replying chasing up my requests...sorry did not reply sooner

i'm in Sth Australia time was getting late..

The Death for my Frederick Gurney is close but i doubt he had moved to Coventry
as from what i know of the family they all lived within Kent
unless perhaps shows his Birthdate on the 39' Reg as being 9th Jan 1889 living
in Coventry....then i'd send of for a B.C.

Thanks for chasing my request!
