You could take out a 14 day free trial of either Findmypast or Ancestry and download the images and then cancel your 14 day trial before you need to pay.

Edit- snap ArgyllGran!

Army record also on Ancestry - 57 pages of it.

I could, if necessary, save and send all those pages individually, but it would be a very long job.

Probably easier for Nala to have a 14-day free trial to either Ancestry or FMP (if she doesn't already have a sub) and look at the record herself.

His service records are on Findmypast;-

First name(s) Frank
Regiment Royal Artillery
Last name Cartwright
Series WO 363
Birth year 1867
Series description Wo 363 - First World War Service Records 'Burnt Documents'
Birth town Kidderminster
Archive The National Archives
Birth county Worcestershire
Record set British Army Service Records
Birth country England
Category Military, armed forces & conflict
Age 18
Subcategory First World War
Year 1885
Collections from Great Britain, UK None
Service number 47614

His next of kin is given as Father Elijah then this is crossed out with (dead) after it and then his brother George, address not known.

He was in the army for a total of 15 years and 214 days.

Unfortunately he committed suicide whilst temporarily insane on 23rd Sept. 1900 at Europa, Gibralter. He was killed by a single gun shot wound.

There is a quite detailed report of him being found and the hearing after he was found but the writing on all of the service record is quite difficult to read.

Perhaps someone who knows how can send you the actual images of his record. There are loads of pages with evidence from quite a few witnesses giving evidence of how he was feeling at the time.
