Hi, I am a new member here and I cannot find Scotland's records of BMD even though I am putting "Lanarkshire, Scotland" in the search boxes. I am shown England and Wales records as well as Overseas and Military only, any suggestions to help me please?

Thanks, Sheila :-)

They are in a site called Scotlands People - http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

Most of Scotlands records are pay to view, and therefore if yoou ask for help you are asking people to pay.

Scotlands people being one source, GR don't really make it clear about what they don't have.

Ancestry do have Scottish censuses which you can ask for help with on Find Ancestors Board.

Familsearch.org also have some scottish records free
