I did not say there was no difference between the various suffixes. On some post or the other I have mentioned that the suffix is used to determine what kind of targeted advertising to send. The ad engine is part of the reason for the time outs which cause the error message. By not using the .co.uk suffix you avoid much of the ads and thus may get a better connection. Myself I just block unamis in our firewall and that's it. |

An ad blocker does not stop the page requesting the ad and all the attendant delays. All that it does is to stop the actual display of the ad. If you want to disable the ad calling function then the only practical way is to disable the ad server url either in your hosts file or in your firewall. |
