Find Ancestors

I have all the births of my grandma's brothers and sister'sall 14 of them, but cannot seem to find out any further on All I know is they came from London E in the late 1800's to Burton on trent, Staffs my great grandad took up the job of one of the first coopers at Bass brewery, but I cannot seem to find any census records before Burton on Trent. the birth dates do not seem to match or marriage dates could anyone help? It feels as if all record of the Humm family has come to a stop.
