Member Since: August 2004 Posts: 0 Send Message	THOMAS BUTCHER. 1826 to 1870 Trying to find the above, who was in the Royal Navy. According to RN records he was born in Newington, or possibly St George`s Parish, Southwark, in 1826. He died in 1870 - went down with most of the crew when HMS Captain sank. According to naval records of 1870 his wife was Mary A. Butcher. Any help would be appreciated. Bernard Butcher [email protected]

Thomas (of HMS Captain) and Mary Ann Butcher were my great great grandparents and although I do not know a lot about them I do have some information.
