Find Ancestors

I have just got back and in and I would like to say a great big thank you to all of you who have helped me with my little problem. Proves that my gut instincts were right and that I was going in the right direction. I got a bit blinkered on Ancestry and never thought to take them off and go to other websites such as www.familysearch.org.

Hi I wonder of anyone can help me I have come up against a brick wall of sorts, or just that I can't see the woods for the trees.

I have found information on Ann Allanson and her family from 1851 onwards with no real problems. I cannot however find a marriage for her, she was married to an Allanson as it states that she is a widow in the 1851 census and in the 1861 census.

I am also trying to find her in the 1841 census, I have come up with an option but wondered if someone would like to see if I am on the right lines.

I was wondering if the children living here were Ann’s other children, and perhaps are John and Faith her parents, if John and Faith are her parent I cannot find a birth for her.

I also noticed that she does not have any daughters in the 1851 census and a number of years between some of the boys.

Any clarification on this matter would be very much appreciated.
