Find Ancestors

I am looking for details of George Bell born 1863 in East Dereham.

I have him on the 1901, 1891 as George Herbert Bell (he married a Jane Elizabeth Doy in 188). On the 1891 nd 1901 census she is shown as Jane Elizabeth. On his daughters birth cert he is George Herbert and her mother is Jane Elizabeth Doy.

I think I have him on the 1881 census as George with sister Jane and mother Susan. Susan is shown as a widow.

I can find no trace of him or his mother before this.

He was born in E. Dereham Norfolk.

Any help would be appreciated.

George Bell and the Susan Hipper is a possibility, will have a look and see if I can tie them in

Yes I have seen that but no trace of the birth of William Harbot or a marriage between Susan and William Townsend. No trace either of Jane or George Townshend being registered.

I seem to think that this may be the right family but proving it could be a different matter,

I can find trace of George Herbert Bell being registered at birth either.
