Yes.. however the information ive been given has been exremly rusty so that might not even be true.. its difficult im afraid because no one in the immediate family seems to want to speak or help..

JustDinosaurJill Report 17 Mar 2011 22:30

Yup Mike that is what Roxanne believes but she also said that the marriage to Percy was possible. She will have to look at Sarah being Evans and not Jones. She will have to look at why the name is different. Maybe Sarah had also been married before.

There are birth entries with mother's maiden name of Baker so you might have some luck with anyone researching them. The first birth was registered in Brecknock, the second in Pontypridd, third registered in Pontypridd. I've not posted as it's possible for them both to be alive - I haven't looked for death entries for them or marriage entries either. Fun for you if you want to chase them.

Eva A L Uncles death was registered in Merthyr T. June 1/4 1929 age 25. Perhaps if you take a look at the children of the first marriage, you can think of any people in family stories told to you which might make sense now or jog your memory in some way.

Will keep looking for you.

Oh and you definately need to check other tree holders on here because there are others with Welsh Uncles in their trees.

possibly Alwyn M.jones born Aberayron (Aberaeron) 1921 Q1:
mothers name Williams LOL!

Newquay residents could reasonably use Cardigan, Aberaeron, Aberystwyth or eve Newcastel Emlyn offices according to their lifestyle.
(I'm local)

Afraid my Wales geography isn't too hot so if you want to take a look at the chances of Sarah Evans in FreeBMD for areas relevent to Newquay you can do that and post back on here.

Whilst not being strange, it's kind of unusual to have a twenty-one year gap between first and third child so are you sure of your info?

There are only two entries for a Percy Uncles for All Types of entries between Mar 1850 and Dec 1950 which is the search period I chose to use.

So it looks like Percy was born in Dec 1/4 1896, married firstly to Eva A L Baker and subsequently to Sarah A Evans.

The next thing to do will be to go back to FreeBMD and try to find the children under the surname Evans.

I'll go and do that now.

Could we perhaps have years of birth and places for the children(even if approximate), and any other info you have?

You must have some info to have worked your way back to him.

Do you have them on any census??
