latest had some photos taken at holy trinity church anblecote by Mike fisher showing John Wood grave. On stone has his name, his wife Phebe who buried at woodhousehill nr Leeds. Also Mary a** wood died sept 22nd 18** sandstone headstone writing eroded. Could Mary be his mother. Yes looks like you found his parents Jos and Mary. If you can find any more details on them grateful.

the 1809 one would be a perfect match for his age in the censuses, 52 etc

According to the 1861 John Wood was born in Brierley Hill Warwickshire

In 1841 John Wood is a Warehouseman

in 1851 he is Manager in Glassworks

that seems a likely promotion ? :-)

Answer to ? where i got deaths dates from. Not ancestry but from family bible handwritten by Phebe Elizabeth stating dates times and were buried.

Some details i have are Johns wife died at Hunslet nr Leeds
and John at moore lane Brierley hill. From what i have got i believe he was born Dudley ? but as stated cant find him prior to 1851. :-) :-)

this looks like maybe the Jos Wood in the 1841 census so maybe Ben was a son who did not live
