You wondered about possible living relatives.

It seems that Gwendoline and Jack Wright had two children.
A son in 1953, and a daughter in 1956.

As they're probably alive, I'll PM you their birth details, rather than post them here.

Reception into St. Mary's Collegiate Church on Monday at 4pm. Funeral Service on Tuesday at 11am. Burial afterwards in the Church Grounds.

Oh how sad :( poor little fella.

I don't know, it could be him.

What I do know about him is - He was born in East Ham in London and was a Dock Clerk in London when he was a teenager, so I suppose he could have joined the marines as he would have been 19 when the first world war broke out.

I'm not sure if Leonards middle name was Churchman, unusual I know.

The other thing I have just seen on the will is that Gwendoline's married name was 'Wright'

That's a good find ArgyllGran.

We now know which of the males was Gwendoline's husband.

Thanks Kath. I am quite ignorant of researching Irish ancestors, I suppose you have to apply for certificates in Ireland, not through our GRO. I will have a look.

Just realised I can't add them to my tree, I still have no idea who there father was, Cecil or Leonard!

I know they lived at Sunmount. Youghal. County Cork if that's any help?

If you bought the marriage certificate it should name Gwendoline's father so you would know which branch of the family.

You could also then look for children for Gwendoline and her husband.

Obviously Eric, but is his wife named there? What would they relate to?

Kates brothers were Cecil b1891 and Leonard b1895, so these could definitely be Eric and Gwendoline.

Youghal is the place stated on the will, so it must be them

I received the copy of her will. Really interesting and I have found she had a niece Gwendoline and nephew Eric in County Cork, Ireland, who were two of her beneficiaries.

They were 'Edwards' so they would have to have been one of Kate's brothers children. She had two brothers.

I wonder if it would be possible to eventually trace a living relative for her. I hope so. Fingers crossed.
