I have found a baptism for a Henry Finch at Brentwood (St Thomas of Canterbury) on 27 October 1782. Parents are John & Ann Finch. |

You are correct ArgyllGran. Nothing totally proved in this case but I take the decision to 'accept' this William Finch b1765 as my ancestor. |

I can't add to the Henry Finch mystery but on the other branch, the Sandon parish register has the marriage of Moses Hickman. |

In the 1841 census ages should have been rounded down to the nearest multiple of five for those over 15. That explains the age discrepancy in the previous post. |
