Peter was born on the 3/10/1938 in Louth Lincolnshire his mother was Minnie carn all he was given away to the Bailey family when he was 18 he changed his name to Bailey whether he was officially adopted is not known but he wanted to join the RAF.

I think the 1923 Nottingham marriage is the correct one.
In 1939 Minnie was living in Lincolnshire (see above).

The birth cert is the only way to be 100% sure. Guessing could lead to a lot of problems

So right, Erica, especially since th poster had an exact birthday for Peter which didn't match FreeBMD.

"IF" Minnie was the illegitimate daughter of William Henry Button, and "IF" she was born in Radford where William was living in 1911 (BIG assumption), there's this possible birth :

The tree on Ancestry says that Minnie's name was Minnie (Button) Rands, daughter of William Henry Button & Olive Love Rands, seeming to suggest that they weren't married.
