Advice please I’m trying to find Kathleen Clara Jones born 23/9/1926 parents
William Henry Jones b 1905 and Ellen (Ball) Jones born 1905 .. I did find a marriage of a Kathleen jones to a Walter Garlinge but I’m not sure if this is the right person!
lots of Jones’s about.. I’m not sure where to go now - I’ve tried looking at electrol registers but I don’t understand these.
Any ideas anyone?

It is unwise to post such info if there is any possibility that the person may be living.

Have you found actual birth dates for the parents

Not seeing them on the 1939 register or picking up deaths that could be them

Kathleen could be the informant on one of the death certs

I see the possible marrige on freebmd and presume you think it could be her as it's still kent

You would have to take the chance and get the cert to see her age and fathers name on the cert to see if it the one you are looking for

The Kathleen who married Garlinge remarried in 1977 to Gisby , was on erolls to 2010

HOWEVER may not be yours as there are potential children, which there wouldn't be for someone born 1926

edit children probably belong to a couple with same surnames married 1960s.

there is another Gisby/Garlinge marriage same date, at least one of that couple ( see freebmd.org.uk) is still on eroll.

Ah there is a possiblity that the marriage which took place same time as Kathleen's 1977 is that of her daughter.

Possibly the same lady Rose. My post was to cast doubt over the marriages being for the Kathleen born 1926- as the obit gives her date of birth as 1932.

The son and grandaughter on the obit are from her first marriage.

I daren't give anymore information in case the GR police jump on my back

May be this is the Kathleen that Victoria is looking for- DOB on 1939 register is unclear- although looks like August?

Apologies if I have been incorrect in my asking of question I’m not sure on etiquette of this and Thank you all for your input, it’s more to decipher.
I was unaware of the 1939 register so that was something new to look at.
It’s a real learning curve, and I’m hoping to find more information on Kathleen and any children she might of had.
