Member Since: January 2003 Posts: 251 Send Message	Trying to find parents of William Barker, b.1861 Fenton, Staffordshire. He married Fanny Jackson, b.1859 market Drayton. They married 1881 in Market Drayton. Haven't been able to locate William in censuses prior to 1891. Can anyone help please. Thank you.

	For some reason my computer isn't letting me copy/paste at the moment. In 1871 there's a William Ridge, born 1861 in Fenton, grandson of Phillip and Martha Ridge, plus their sons John and Phillip and daughter Emily, all living in Fenton. Although the image clearly says William Ridge, an Ancestry user has amended it to William Barker. He is still with his grandparents in 1881. but this time listed as Barker. His marriage to Fanny was later that year, in Market Drayton.

	Catherine has posted a different 1861 from the one I posted. Mine shows a Maria Ridge with her parents. But clearly two different families.
