HI, I HAVE JUST RECEIVED MY GR GRANDFATHERS MARRIAGE CERT TODAY AND IT HAS HIS FATHERS NAME BUT STATES THAT HE WAS DECEASED AT THE DATE OF MARRIAGE. SO HOW DO I GO ABOUT FINDING OUT HIS DETAILS COULD ANYONE GIVE ME A FEW TIPS THANKS LINDA.

persons married are,sidney herbert austin.23yrs
lena matthews rowe 24yrs plymouth, fathers details for sidney are;samuel austin(deceased).details of lena is blank just a line the marriage was in 1896.

i don't think i can find any details of lena as there is nothing saying who her father was at all, omly her name on cert. so i don't think i can do anything on that side now. unless i send for her birth cert i think.

Is there an address for Lena on the marriage cert?

Her birth is listed. Her mother married William Cann after she was born. I'm guessing Matthews is the name of the father.

Rose is right i saw the Cann marriage, if you go back to the 1881 census and type in Lena Cann they are living at 16 moon St. There are also several Rowes in the same household. BINGO!
